Celeste Arantes Biography:-

On October 23, 1940, she was 17 years old when she gave birth to her first child, a baby who would grow up to be widely regarded as the greatest footballer of all time.

According to family members, she has cognitive issues and is unaware that her world-famous son has died.

Arantes, who married Pele’s father, Joao Ramos do Nascimento, when she was 16, had another son, Jair, who died of cancer in 2020, the same illness that took Pele’s life on Thursday.

She dedicated her life to caring for her children as a stay-at-home mother.

Pele’s father, a former footballer known as “Dondinho,” passed away in 1996.

Pele often told the story of promising to win the World Cup for Brazil after seeing his father cry after the “Selecao” lost to Uruguay in the 1950 tournament final on home soil.

He succeeded eight years later, leading Brazil to its first of five World Cup victories.

He won three of them, in 1958, 1962, and 1970, making him the only player in history to do so.

Despite his glittering career and long list of honors, Pele says his parents instilled in him the value of modesty.
