Latest developments:
• State Department of Health on Thursday reported 130 new confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 51 cases on Oahu, 30 on Kauai, 27 on Hawaii island, 20 on Maui and two Hawaii residents diagnosed out of state.
• There have now been 85,490 confirmed and probable cases statewide, including 58,476 on Oahu, 11,334 in Hawaii County, 10,061 in Maui County (9,673 on Maui, 243 on Molokai and 145 on Lanai) and 2,839 on Kauai. A total of 2,780 Hawaii residents have been diagnosed outside of the state.
• Three new deaths were reported Thursday; the statewide fatality count is now at 971.
• Honolulu County is averaging 48 new cases a day and a test positivity rate of 1.3 percent, followed by Hawaii County at 21 cases and 3.1 percent, Kauai County at 20 cases and 4.4 percent and Maui County at 11 cases and 1.4 percent.
• Hawaii has reached a 72 percent vaccination rate of the total population statewide, with Honolulu County at 74 percent, Kauai County at 68 percent, Hawaii County at 67 percent and Maui County at 65 percent.
• Beginning today, capacity limits for indoor “high-risk” activities such as at gyms, bars, restaurants and social establishments are lifted if counties have policies requiring vaccination or negative COVID-19 test result within 48 hours, which Maui and Honolulu counties currently do.
